Almost 18 years after the venue’s closure, the famous landmark has now been restored to its former glory to house renowned eateries, an award-winning event and wedding space and a luxury champagne bar.
Todd Milburn provided Principal Designer services, working under Robertson Construction to ensure all aspects of the CDM regulations were adhered to, with any potential risks identified, removed, or mitigated throughout both the design and construction stages.
The £10m refurbishment was awarded Tourism and Leisure, North East England Project of the Year at the RICS Awards and the Civils Project of the Year at the Constructing Excellence North East Awards in 2019.
